Detention Personnel

Throughout the history of the jail, officers were often referred to as "jailers" and were required to perform non-related jail duties. Today's jail staff is comprised of Deputy Sheriffs and Detention Officers who specialize in jail duties including Jail Operations, Inmate Transportation, Court Team Duties, Work Release and Special Operations.

The men and women of the Leavenworth County Jail are a professional group of individuals dedicated to their chosen career.
