Happy Holidays from the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office!

As the holiday season approaches, I want to take this time to acknowledge our staff and thank them for their important contribution to this office and our community.  Their hard work and dedication to our office and our community is something we are all very grateful for - not just during the holiday season, but all year-round.

I would also like to acknowledge our community for their tremendous support and efforts in helping to make our area a safer place to live, work and raise a family. We appreciate your input and assistance and are happy to know our website is an important information resource to so many of you.

When considering traveling for the holidays, please keep in mind that COVID-19 is still existent in the world and in our community. If you are traveling, please remember to wash your hands frequently, avoid close contact with others, and wear a cloth face covering in public. For more information on how to remain safe during your travels, read this CDC article: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-during-covid19.html.

If you decide to travel, keep the following safety tips in mind:

Always wear your seatbelt.

Don't drink and drive - even one alcoholic drink can reduce your abilities and impair your judgment.

Don't Text and Drive - Please keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.  Pull over if you need to.

Have a safe, happy & healthy holiday season.
