The  Southern Leavenworth County Leadership Group is conducting a fundraiser for the Alliance Against Family Violence.  The Alliance Against Family Violence is a sexual and domestic violence victim advocacy organization that serves all of Leavenworth County, Kansas, the communities therein, and the surrounding area.  The Alliance Against Family Violence is dedicated to facilitating and empowering positive change in the lives of those affected by domestic and sexual violence and to providing safety and security for members of the communities it serves. 

The goal of this fundraiser is to help offset costs the AAFV accrues purchasing supplies and providing services for the families they assist.  The fundraiser involves collecting old cell phones and tablets and sending them to a zero-landfill recycling company. The devices will have their data erased prior to destroying or refurbishing them. A check will then be issued to the AAFV based on the age, condition, etc. of the devices. ALL proceeds go to the AAFV, nothing is kept back to offset any costs for the fundraiser.  If you, or someone you know, has an old device or two cluttering up a drawer somewhere this is a great way to dispose of them without sending them to a landfill.  A list of drop-off locations is below.  We will keep you updated as more drop-off locations become available.  Thank you for supporting your community, and those in need.
