Regarding the K16 Highway & Parallel Road closing and detour to George Rd. - per Leavenworth County Public Works George Road is open to all traffic excluding heavy commercial trucks (those over 24,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight).  For reference, even very heavy passenger trucks like F-450/550 would not be restricted, even if being utilized for commerce.  Semi-trucks and large cab box trucks would be restricted, if being used for commerce.  GVW is normally listed on the VIN door stickers if clarification is required.  As before, local delivery trucks or business vehicle trucks traveling to an address on George Road will be permitted to continue.
